Many people who have experienced sexual intercourse or masturbation undergo a type of sexual elation more commonly called an orgasm. Many experience it yet don’t understand the processes behind it. There is more to this sexual elation than just the mere feeling it gives off during or at the end of a sexual experience. The better you understand the state of an orgasm, the more you will be frequently experiencing it, and the more powerful it becomes.
Both males and females can achieve sexual orgasm. Exactly what an orgasm is, no one can describe. This is because not one single orgasm is the same for all individuals. This experience varies from one individual to another. For some it can last for days while others can’t achieve it at all.
What therefore is the secret to an orgasm? Since there are so many definitions of this fascinating process the body undergoes, it is best to consider the three elements that make up an orgasm. First of the three elements is the sensory element. This element pertains to the physiological responses your body undergoes when in the height of an orgasm. These physiological responses include your body heat, your muscle tension, and your increase in vital signs. The second element is the evaluative element. This is your perception of the orgasm. Was it good or bad, was it painful or pleasurable, or was it intense or mild? Last of the three elements is the affective element. This pertains to your emotional response while experiencing an orgasm and what you felt afterwards. This primarily includes the questions whether you feel a sense of intimacy or distance between you and your partner? Was it a grounded experience or did it transcend to greater heights? Lastly, was it a happy or sad experience?
No matter what definition you may come across when you try to look up what an orgasm means, don’t take it too literally and most of all don’t stick to one definition. In order to understand this glorious process, be open to other definitions and most importantly, incorporate these three elements into the definition you are currently following.
Another question you might want to ask about an orgasm is whether it differs between women and men? The difference does not lie in the definition itself, but rather on how each of the sexes can achieve it. Males can achieve orgasm through sexual intercourse. The rhythmic motion of thrusting and pulling their genitals in and out of a woman’s vagina causes a surge of blood to their penis and ultimately an orgasm, which is more often than not, followed by ejaculation. Males typically achieve just one orgasm per sexual encounter.
Women, on the other hand, can achieve orgasm either through clitoral stimulation or vaginal penetration. Some can achieve it through both means while others have a tendency to respond to only one of these stimulations. Men need to follow certain techniques in order for their woman to feel stimulated; this includes the technique on stimulating one of the most sensitive areas of a woman’s body, the G-spot. The woman normally undergoes a series of spasticity felt initially in the vagina then spreads to the thighs and all throughout the body. This is not followed by an ejaculation and unlike men; women are capable of achieving multiple orgasms.
There is also a difference between the responses these two sexes have after achieving such a sexual elation. Most men tend to put off being stimulated right after achieving an orgasm while women tend to want their partners to cuddle and caress them after such a process.
Knowledge and skill is what it takes to achieve a major orgasm that you won’t be forgetting for days and days to come. Everybody is capable of achieving it; if you are not achieving it then you are experiencing what people commonly call orgasm denial. It is just a matter of learning and applying what you’ve learned, and of course being open to experience a heightened sense of sexual pleasure.
