The Fascinating Sexual Anatomy of Human Beings

Well we all have girl parts or boy parts, sometimes even both parts, it is just the way nature built us. These parts are there for a multitude of reasons, primarily so that we can procreate and add to the population of people inhabiting the world. The more interesting and more fun reason for these parts is to have great sex. This goes hand in hand with reproduction so it is really a win-win situation for both men and women.

As you may already know, women have a vagina while men have a penis. This is basic sexual anatomy, but how much more do you know beyond that? These are two very different organs with two very different purposes.

The sexual anatomy of men and women can be a complicated topic and this article is only to get you started on the basics of it. Many of you will find that these topics were not covered as well as they could have been in school. There is a lot to learn about sexual anatomy and learning it can make sex a whole lot more fun for both parties.

Lets take a look at each and learn a little more about the sexual anatomy of both:

The Penis
This is a sexual organ that is found on the outside of the body. The penis has a tube that is called the urethra in it and this is used to transport both urine and semen out of the body. The testes are found below the penis in the scrotum, or sac. This is where the sperm is actually produced. The penis is also made up of several layers of skin tissue. Two of these layers are corpus cavernosum and one is corpus spongiosum which is found on the underside of this sexual organ.

The penis is utterly boneless. Even though it can become erect and feel very hard and firm, that is all due to the buildup of blood in the tissue. When a man gets aroused blood rushes to the penis and makes it hard, this allows for penetration during sexual intercourse. And while a woman can get pregnant without being penetrated by said penis, it is not as likely.

The Vagina
The sexual anatomy of the vagina is different than that of the penis in that this organ is mostly internal. This tract leads from the uterus and the cervix to the outside of the woman’s body. When a woman gives birth the baby will travel down this tract and out into the world. This is also the part of the female body that is penetrated during intercourse.

There is however, much more to the vagina. There are parts of the vagina that are not internal such as the vulva. This is a very misunderstood part of female sexual anatomy. The vulva is actually comprised of several different things.

For example the:

Clitoris
Clitoral hood
Labia
Urethra opening
Hymen

Sexual anatomy is a very interesting subject and once you get started learning about it, you will probably be surprised at how much you didn’t really know after all!
